Can we book you in ASAP?
Spring and summer are our busiest times. Sometimes the wait can be up to 4 to 6 weeks.
However, the sooner you get in touch, the sooner we can book you in.
If we find a way to squeeze you in ASAP, we will let you know right way!
How often should I have my driveway professionally cleaned?
Most driveways benefit from professional cleaning every 12–24 months.
However, shaded or damp areas in Boston may require more frequent treatment due to moss and algae growth.
That said, our biocide treatment can often maintain results for up to 3 or 4 years!
Will pressure washing damage my driveway?
No.
… When carried out professionally.
We adjust pressure levels and use specialist surface cleaners designed for each surface type.
Incorrect DIY pressure washing can cause damage, but our equipment and expertise prevent this.
How are quote costs calculated?
We work out our fees based on the square metres that require cleaning.

Do you work on all driveway surfaces?
Yes.
We may need to adjust our methods for cleaning each driveway, but we’ll make sure we’re confident that we can do a perfect job before accepting the work.

Do biocides really make a difference?
Yes.
Biocidal treatments kill microscopic spores that cause moss, algae and lichen regrowth.
Pressure washing alone removes visible growth, but biocides significantly extend the clean appearance.
A cleaning with conventional pressure washers might last a few months. Our service will last for years if the biocide treatment is used.
How long does driveway cleaning take?
Most residential driveways can be completed within one day, depending on size and condition.
We may even be able to fit more than one cleaning job into a day.
Larger or heavily soiled areas may take longer.
Is driveway cleaning messy?
It can be!
We take care to control overspray and thoroughly clean up afterwards.
Your property will be left neat and tidy.
We’ll wash down any surrounding areas, like walls and fences, after the driveway is done.
Can you clean driveways in wet weather?
Light moisture isn’t usually an issue, but heavy rain can affect treatment application and drying times.
For driveways that require a kiln-dried sand application, we will need dry conditions. This usually requires a second visit after the work is complete.
We schedule work to ensure optimal results.
Can you remove tough stains like oil or graffiti?
Yes… But sometimes not completely.
Graffiti is a service we specialise in. We’re fairly confident that is can be removed.
Oil and chemical staining can be trickier!
We would need to see the stain, the surface and the area but we can usually remove about 90% of oil stains to the point where it’s either gone or barely visible.
Can I get a discount?
There may be a way!
We offer discounts if you want multiple services, like driveway cleaning, roof cleaning and gutter cleaning combined.
We also offer discounts if you recommend us to friends and neighbours.
Doing several jobs in one area means we’re not spending time travelling between locations, so we always pass on the time and money that can be saved.
Seems costly! Can we do the work ourselves?
Our quotes can’t please everyone.
We appreciate that it’s a hard time economically, and you may want to try to save money on our fees.
Boston Jet Wash does the job right in the first place with results that can last years… So over time, it can be more cost-efficient to use us, rather than tackle the job yourself.
We know that we can achieve outstanding results.
So it may be a false economy to do the work yourself! Our advanced equipment, enzymes and knowledge will get the results you want.
Will oil stains be completely removed?
Many oil stains can be significantly improved, but deep, long-standing stains may not disappear entirely.
We always aim for the best possible result and will advise you beforehand.
What is re-sanding and why is it important?
Re-sanding is the process of refilling the joints between block paving after cleaning. It:
- Restores structural stability
- Prevents movement
- Reduces weed growth
- Improves overall appearance
Without re-sanding, block paving can shift and become uneven.
